There are several definitions of biculturalism, some people automatically thinks that people who practice biculturalism are also bilingual. Which is very true to some extent but biculturalism and bilingualism are two different things. According to dictionary the word biculturalism is defined as â€Å"the presence of two different cultures in the same country and region†( dictionary), where as the word bilingualism is defind as â€Å"the ability to speak two languages fluently , the habitual use of two languages† (dictionary). This paper consists three different aspects of biculural bilingual people. Such as describing biculturalism through identity and explaining how language of biculturals triggers frame switching. The main focus of the paper is to describe biculturalism among deaf people, by explaing the attitudes of deaf people to the hearing world and deaf world. Lastly this paper will explains the creativity of bicultural bilingual people. Since bicultural bilinguals have many different descriptions it gets harder to describe the personality types of bicultural people. There is an article by Grosjean which does a really good job describing people who practice biculturalism and bilingualism. In this article, Grosjean gives a definition of culture in terms of biculturalism.
